Onboarding Flow ("the app") is a Confluence Cloud app built on Atlassian Forge. It runs on Atlassian's infrastructure. We, the vendor, do not operate servers for the app and receive no customer data.
What the app processes
To show onboarding paths and progress, the app stores, inside your Atlassian site's app storage: the onboarding paths your managers build (names, steps, Confluence page IDs and titles); which people are assigned which path, and when they viewed or completed steps; and Atlassian account IDs of people who are assigned paths, who assign them, and who create them. It does not store names, email addresses or other profile information; these are read from Confluence when needed. If an administrator turns on onboarding pages, the app creates a page per new hire in a Confluence space the administrator chooses, which mentions the hire by name.
Where it is stored
In Atlassian's Forge hosted storage, in the same data residency location as your Confluence site. Data is not sent outside Atlassian.
Who can see it
Site administrators and members of the Confluence groups an administrator chooses ("path managers") can see paths and everyone's progress. Each person can see their own onboarding.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its data after its standard retention period. When an Atlassian account is closed, the app deletes that person's onboarding data within a week, as reported by Atlassian's personal data reporting API.
Your rights
Requests about personal data processed by the app can be made to your Confluence site administrator, who controls the data, or to us at [contact email].
Changes
We'll update this page and its effective date when the app's data handling changes.
